Recent updates at the practice

May 2022

  • We are continuing to see our patients for routine appointments.
  • Although the government have published guidance regarding the removal of restrictions, dentistry continues to be a higher risk so please can all patients attending the practice wear a face mask and hand sanitise on arrival.
  • Please fill in the online portal covid questionnaire before your visit.
  • We look forward to seeing you.

January 2022

  • We would like to extend a warm welcome to 3 new members of the team. Sarah-Joy Lendon, Kelly Tovey and Emma Oldfield are our new hygienists. Hygienist services are available Monday to Friday.
  • Can we ask all patients to complete their paperwork online before attending the practice.
  • We are continuing to see as many patients as we can as safely as we can. Please can all patients arrive on time as we still have a limited number of chairs in the waiting room to allow for distancing.
  • Please let us know if you are unable to attend your appointment, as this frees up time for another patient.
  • We are continuing our extra cleaning in between patients and at the end of the day to ensure the safety of our patients and staff.
  • Thank you for all your lovely messages on our Friends and Family feedback forms, they are much appreciated.
  • Following the restrictions being lifted on the 27th January 2022, we have made the decision to continue with our current procedures for the safety of our patients and staff. We will review this again in the spring and we would be grateful of your compliance. Here at Almondsbury, we want you to continue to see the practice as a safe environment and feel as comfortable as possible coming to see us.

December 2021

  • We are sorry to see our lovely hygienist Catherine leave the team. Catherine has been an amazing hygienist /therapist for nearly 10 years, and we will miss her very much. We wish her all the very best for the future.

October 2021

  • Since the last post our team have continued to work as safely and as efficiently as they can. We still have to screen every patient before their visit, and carry out extensive cross infection control cleaning of the practice regularly.
  • Our clinical team are still wearing enhanced protective equipment to protect them from any aerosols that are generated during treatment, and all staff are regularly tested and risk assessed.
  • Our reception team are working tirelessly to help our patients access dental care as quickly as possible. In response to several comments regarding our telephone system we have instigated an upgrade and hope that this will improve communications considerably.
  • We will soon be seeing our lovely children for their next check-ups during half term.
  • We have installed air purifiers in all the surgeries and the waiting room to provide cleaner air for all patients and staff which reduces infection levels and provides a safer environment. This also allows us to reduce the time in between patients. This greatly increases the number of patients we can see safely.
  • Our new online portal system is proving successful and popular allowing patients to complete all their paperwork before attending for their appointments. A link will be sent via email or text. ‘Check-in’ can now be completed from a mobile phone once you have arrived.

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact the practice via email or phone.
